Need: which problem(s) does your proposal solve?

Cedexis Openmix provides a revolutionary, patent-pending approach to Global Traffic Management/Global Server Load Balancing (GTM/GSLB).

Cedexis provides a DNS based approach to Load-balancing using DNS CNAME or A records where DNS responses are altered in real-time dependent on the business logic required.

Approach: how does your project solve the problem(s)?

For many years, GTM/GSLB tools and services have relied on proprietary, inextensible, static rules engines to define and control a narrow set of fixed policies (e.g., failover, round-robin, geo-targeting).

Cedexis’s mission is to enable next-generation cloud strategies based on real-time data feeds. The globally-distributed, on-demand Openmix platform provides a highly robust means of ingesting real- time data from various sources, and exposing this metadata as environment “variables” which can be evaluated on each request.

Alternatives: what other alternatives could solve the problem(s)?

Deploying expensive load balancing appliances is one part of the answer.

 

Use real time data or 3rd party data to feed the load balancing solution, only Cedexis is able to provide that solution in real time.
