Our Proposal
Cedexis was started in 2009 to provide tools that would improve website, mobile app and web- distribution experience of end-users by efficiently enabling multi-Datacenter, Cloud and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) strategies. Multiple provider strategies enable improved availability, optimized performance and cost benefits associated with vendor diversity.
Cedexis has combined real-user performance monitoring (or RUM) and data-driven, DNS-based global load balancing, into a unified service. The Cedexis platform is unique in the sense that it uses 100s of millions of end-user based probes to collect real-time information (Cedexis Radar) with current system API’s (Cedexis Fusion) and couples these with a programmable DNS based decision engine (Cedexis Openmix).
Cedexis Radar provides an objective and standardized approach to measuring the real user performance of your actual visitors and associates that experience to the service performance of the cloud, data center and CDN platforms used to deliver the content. Radar provides the performance data IT professionals use to assess, select and manage cloud, data center and CDN platforms through a common, objective methodology.
Using a unique, community-based approach, Cedexis brings unrivalled transparency to the global performance and availability of the world's largest public infrastructures, from Cloud Computing and Storage to Content and Application Delivery Networks. From Zambia to China, the customer will quickly find the best—and worst—performing platforms for each and every one of their visitors.
Cedexis Radar is the Internet's first cloud monitoring cooperative: Becoming a Community Member means unlimited access to our historical reporting database, including detailed segmentation by provider, country and network.
Being a Radar community member also provides a rich set of tools for capturing the service levels provided by both internal and external content delivery infrastructures. Unique to Radar is the ability to utilize your website visitors to measure the experience they would receive from platforms not currently used by an enterprise. The same methodology enables objective evaluations of cloud platforms throughout their lifecycle, including on-going evaluation of performance relative to SLAs.
Cedexis Radar service is free of charge as soon as you monitor community platform.
The other solution that would exist are based on synthetic testing, which means that it's a data center testing an other data center. This is a complementary vision of end-user vision.

Every day new customers are using our service a little bit differently than the way I thought.
By providing this service for free to the prospective partners, I would like to get our data growing and additional ways to use our data to imagine the futur of Cedexis 2.0
Today we are using this real time data to make them actionable in our SAAS load balancer but that's only 5% of the possibilities. The prospective project should help us to bring more value to the community and our prospects.
