Three friends were lost while driving in the mountains. Soon they realized that without a navigation system they would not be able to find their way home. That’s the moment in which the three future co-founders of Userlane understood the importance of guidance and imagined how great it would be to implement the same concept to software.

The idea of interactive guides was born and development began in a small Munich apartment. From the very beginning, the intention of the founders was to bring guidance within the chaotic world of user experience. And they wanted to achieve that with software that was nice to look at and easy to use.
