Startup Porto is an extension unit of Porto Polytechnic – one of the biggest higher education institutions in Portugal. Our mission is to foster the emergence and development of a new generation of exciting business, products and technologies, creating impact through innovation and creativity, in a polycentric knowledge cooperation. 

Our history gathers the expertise in areas such as Technology, Business, Education, Arts, Health, Hospitality & Tourism, Media Arts & Design. The connection with the 8 schools of our university and the inputs of our professors and investigators allows us to have a dynamic environment. Our goal is to create innovative projects and build a strong community of skilled people together with our global partners from industry, govern and academia.

Currently, our activities are related with pre-acceleration programs – Porto Design Accelerator and Beta Sound System – that matches the ambition and needs of entrepreneurs with our knowledge and resources.
