We are looking for ideas / solutions to manage our leased fleet across Nokia’s units, for pool, service and employee benefit cars in accordance with TCO, sustainability, safety & quality and attractiveness. Current benefit fleet management is focused on company car drivers, but the world is changing and the role of cars in societies and as company benefit is also evolving. As example, millennial generation find less relevant to own a car and prefer ‘sharing economy’ models, employees in large cities (ex. London) lack parking spaces in city centers while parked at home, etc. At Nokia, we are committed to use resources in the most efferent way, not only to improve our bottom line, but also as a way to be more responsible in a resource constrained world. The current model generates unused capacity as company benefit cars are allocated to individuals and pools are not a flexible solution, illustrating the inefficiencies of dedicated cars / company level pools. Plus, we strive for continuous carbon footprint reduction that will require us to embrace new ways to address our fleets and their management services. At the same time, embracing the electric option across Nokia’s units would require a significant infrastructure investment, plus deal with local conditions and tax regulations (ex. company car charging as taxable benefit). Today, onsite charging stations are static limiting the ability, in practice to charge one car per day per charging station will bring additional complexity and inefficiencies. Through your innovations, help us maintain Nokia as a great place to work for both new and legacy employee generations while supporting our overall responsible sourcing goals.
