Fortum wants to strengthen its presence in the mobile and offer smooth, easy-to-use tools for consumers to monitor, control and interact with their everyday energy use. We are constantly looking for the next interesting services and functionalities to be integrated in our existing OmaFortum (MyFortum) mobile application.
What are we looking for:
We have developed OmaFortum mobile application for easy control of our customers' energy use. This can be used as the base for the project but it doesn't have to, you can also start from scratch for any good reason.
Currently users can monitor their consumption, invoices and contracts in the app. However, the app doesn't provide tools to improve consumer behavior. How would you make the app - or Fortum's mobile presence in general - more interactive?
- Why do people want to monitor energy use? What would be really interesting?
- What behaviours should be included in the app to make it easy for customer to follow anything related to energy, living, family or something else?
- What kind of impulses can the app trigger? How?
- Business model for the app: could it be white labeled to any other energy utility or is linked for example with the country or city? Something else?
The key question is how can an energy utility bring value to the consumer regarding their daily life? You can download our latest release of OmaFortum from Google Play and AppStore.
