5G technology provides scalable and energy efficient data collection, extremely fast mobile network and reliable and ultralow latency.
The Increasing amount of data provides fundament for new innovations, like more efficient supply chains and new services. The use of the different kind of data from different sources, sectors and industries, is the key for disruptive innovation and development. To have the benefits of 5G and related technologies in full scale, requires that the availability and use of data have to be solved.
The sharing of data between different actors is thus in the heart of 5g development and innovation. However, the availability of data is affected by e.g. restrictions on data ownership and protection, standardization and privacy policy.
On the other hand, the key issue for development, is the availability of data from different sources, which might include challenges like data collection, ownership of data, standardization of data etc.
The key task is to find a solution, how the data collection from different sources, data ownership and data sharing would be arranged, so that new ICT-based technologies could support carbon neutral city development in full scale.
In other words, how to provide most of the data available, so that it would be the source of new innovations.
