The presented solution should be a set of functionalities that induces serendipity that helps enterprises grow their business. Ideally, a solution is embedded in regular means of interaction that people use everyday.
The presented solution can focus on one or more of the following features:
- An algorithm evaluating/predicting match qualities
- User experience
- Collaboration and interaction within the digital system
Problems of interest
Information about the ecosystems, their actors, activities, events and development programmes is scattered, hidden and obscure: this makes it difficult for innovative developers of enterprises to exploit relevant information in market planning, product development, capability development, talent management, funding and client relationships.
Judging criteria
You are encouraged to reach a concrete level enough to show value created and value captured by all the constituencies of the design. Special attention should be paid on the value for enterprises.
Working demonstration of essential functionality of a physical, social and/or digital system.
The novelty and feasibility of the design in terms of cultural, social, economic and ecological sustainability, existing resources, lucrative market and financial realism. Proprietary technologies, data and other IPR are discouraged as ingredients of the solution.
Additional weight is put on compatibility with the Espoo story, EU goals, and scalability both horizontally (other service areas) and geographically (nationally among cities, in Europe, globally).
