What an amazing last weekend we’ve had! The first Open Ecosystem Hackathon shook the ground in Munich. Close to 130 hipsters, hackers and startups were invited to ideate, create and hack!
#hackyourhome# was the motto of the event, which was held by Nokia in partnership with Amazon.
Participants played around with several devices provided by Nokia, Amazon and Withings and even with 3D printers from Munich Maker Lab folks.
8 teams, 8 promising ideas: “Shake it” – “Jinder” – “Timebox” – “Magic Wand” – “Alexa Coach” – “Adventure” – “Good morning” “Ready Doctor” were created in a 24 hour coding binge.
How does it feel to be in a room filled with great minds giving the best of their electrifying brains? Check it out!
72 hours in the life of an Open Ecosystem Network Hacker and Hipster!
After warming up the atmosphere on Friday night, 8 teams worked hard on codes the whole Saturday! To recharge the batteries, the teams stopped working for an amazing midnight Mannequin Challenge: loud music, night club lights, fluo glasses. Everybody was having fun!
Countdown: during the last few hours, after a busy sleepless night, the pressure was high to be ready for the best pitches that would convince the jury! Watch some interviews done before the jury selection: Interview with Ready Doctor team and Interview with Jinder team.
In the end, the rewarding going to stage with the award ceremony: the first prize went to Mikkel and Alex, a team from Denmark, for their Ready Doctor! The second prize was awarded to Shake it and the third prize went to Jinder.
Congratulations to all the winners of the first Open Ecosystem Network Hackathon!
As we believe good things are worth spreading, we’re already planning for the next AWESOME challenge.
