What can you do with iFUN?
iFUN, (internal Friendly User Network) will be our new Nokia 5G Live-Air platform, accessible to 5G devices, and will provide connectivity to Nokia networks.
Whether internal Nokia employees or external parties, you are invited to experiment our 5G quality and use our 5G services and applications.
There will be several areas to test and try the 5G connection for future products and innovations.
As part of the ecosystem (companies, start-ups, schools, researchers), join us and participate to create new services and test new products, applications or innovations; all those empowered by 5G.
We are inviting our partners to come in our Nokia Paris-Saclay site to access iFUN to verify their Proof of concepts, develop prototypes, or evaluate new products needing 5G.
Our 5G iFUN is also an opportunity for Telco Service Providers to test in real conditions their products, software releases, operations before their deployment on the field. A great way to be future proof ready!
How can you work with us?
iFUN will focus on future applications for customers, on their use cases, with related frequencies. The evolution of pre 3GPP 5G will be followed to match customer needs, but also innovations that will have an interest for operators, manufacturers, customers, partners, from different industries…
Let’s be inspired by a community of experts. The Nokia Paris-Saclay site offers a large range of highly qualified profiles and competitive manpower to test and experiment new products. We want to engage all Nokia employees to actively participate to the 5G iFUN experimentation and bring their knowledge and expertise to different ecosystems.
Let’s come with your needs and dreams and Nokia R&D will make it happen!
The iFUN network will be built and will be adapted to the needs and the demand from partners and from 5G R&D. Any proposal of test or partnership will be studied to check the feasibility and the benefit of each contributor.
When can you start?
The first phase of our iFUN 5G will focus on 28GHz outdoor coverage zone in the Nokia Paris-Saclay site for the second half of 2017. Starting from this date, we will be able to experiment the first calls outside and start demonstrating the performance on specific prototypes.
We plan to offer other bands during 2018. So more to come!
