About this project

Smart Scheduler comes with brilliant idea to help in entire process of testing and makes it more automate.

Our tool allows to keeping test lines and test cases configuration in the database. It’s a new approach because previously these files/parameters were stored in the special PERL-like files.

Besides that, there are bunch of new features:

  • keeping entire test lines and test cases configuration in database
  • easier management of the devices and test parameters
  • possibility to change any of the test parameters only for scheduling test
  • current list of queued tests and possibility to prioritize them
  • rebuilding test from history
  • detailed view of the current suite
  • estimating time when test line will be free
  • possibility to create nested suites
  • KPI for each test in real time
  • admin panel
  • triggering test via API

Smart Scheduler introduces a lot of time saving features.

One of them is storing configurations data in the database with validating in UI. Previously users (especially a new one) wasted a lot of the time for preparation configuration files and checking what is wrong.

Worth to mention is possibility to rebuild test from the history. Two clicks is needed to rebuild historical run.

Advantage: what gives your project the competitive edge?

Smart Scheduler is not only helpful to testers.

Project Managers who are ordering tests can use the Current Suite view instead of asking testers about current status of the test. Current Suite view allows to check progress of the entire scheduled suite with estimated time of the starting and ending of each suite’s test.

There is also a chance to development team to enter testers world. Developers can easily load a knife and restart failing test with collecting appropriate logs.

Prospective Partners: what might you expect from prospective project partners?

Currently Smart Scheduler is adapted to work only for one team. Our idea is to adjust it to be an universal tool which can be easily configured for anyone.
