This document provides a reference architecture overview of Dell EMC® Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS™) software running on Dell R730xd. ECS is a software-defined cloud-scale object storage platform that combines the cost advantages of commodity infrastructure with the reliability, availability and serviceability of traditional arrays. The Dell R730xd is a versatile and flexible server platform which provides cost-effective commodity hardware for ECS object storage.
